My 820 brakes are very low down the pedal, they work but you have to push hard af. Is there anyway I can adjust them or should I be pulling the stick back??

Also my exhaust brake sticks and doesn’t seem to hold the tractor back on the road either, Can anyone give me some tips on this, are there settings for it?

Thankyou

Go easy on pulling the stick back to slow down. The brakes arnt ultra big in those...makes sure all trailers etc brakes are well up to scratch. Not sure about adjustment or if they're getting worn at the stage . Have you had any warning light indicating transmission filter blocked recently?

Does it make like a pressure sounds when you operate the engine brake? Window open will help to hear it. Think it's just a butterfly valve with a couple of holes in.

Brake adjustment has been covered here few times now, @davidroberts30 IIRC uploaded page from workshop manual. Do them sharply or the cardan brake does all the work and burns out. You need to remove the brake caps at the top of the axle where the handbrake linkage and brake pipes. You can actually do the 700 series without disconnecting the brake pipes, just lift them up high enough. 17mm spanner for locknuts and 8mm for the adjuster. Either do them half a turn at a time or as book says and intill wheel binds and turn back set amounts.

Yes it kicks in then gets stuck and won’t rev has 1800 but doesn’t hold it back when going down a bank
