At those hours, remedial & service work will be needed. Given what it is, it will have been worked hard most of its life.

Buy with your eyes WIDE open.

At the very least i would want the trans health checked (pressures, ECU interrogation etc), and to be able to work the tractor on my land for afew days for issues to come to light before negotiating a deal or otherwise.

What's the lifespan on these transmissions
Our 2007 926 had a replacement trans at 6500hrs, it was 2nd hand, we bought it with 5800hrs, our dealer was/is very good and stood on with his 1yr warranty on it.

It was a reverse drive and I think might’ve spent a fair time buck raking, it hadn’t led a quiet life anyway

left us with 10,000hrs and went south where it apparently caught fire hauling straw and burnt out ☹️ Hence the warning on the exhaust, we had fire blankets wrapped around it as it was known problem.

I wonder what are these transmissions costing to replace?
Is it possible to repair them?
Other than the mentioned how did the tractor perform?
Are they a well capable tractor?

At that time, I think it was a £10k job.

Tractor was fine, plenty power, terrible steering lock, few electric niggles, spools etc. Never touched the engine.

Know a man that has a older 9 series. Tranny went and he fixed it himself and its still goin. He also said theres meant to be some boys in poland that can fix them. Hos injector pump gave bit of trouble aswel but in fairness the driver run her out of diesel shortly before that which probably didnt help. But its a mighty nice tractor to drive
