Fendt RTK no EE signal recognized

Our 6 month old Fendt 724 Profi Plus on Fendt One software does not recognize EE data card signal. Both the dealers and Fendt's only solution has been to suggest using to use a roaming card signal. We now the best signal in our area is form EE. We have used EE data cards for RTK correction signal for years in Fendt's and John Deere's with out issues. Does any one have the same issue or have a solution?

By data card you mean a SIM card for a data terminal?

What sort of EE settings have you configured? Don't know EE but google gives me unusual credentials and other settings.

Have you checked that EE has the necessary ports open for NTRIP? Should not be an issue if you are using the same RTK source as with the previous Fendts and JDs that worked on EE.

Yes, I mean a data only sim card.

I have not tried configuring myself but our Fendt dealership have tried all the things they know and have failed.

I have tried contacting Fendt UK lots of times over the last 5 months but they just do not reply. I tried once more and got a phone call back from Fendt UK tractor communications department who were unhelpful, came up with no solutions, told me I was rude and put the phone down on me.

I have gone back to EE lots of times and they keep saying the data card is completely suitable and in full working order. We have tried swapping working sim cards out of other tractors to the 724 but this tractor will not except these sim cards either.

There does seem to be a fundamental problem with the Fendt 724 and Fendt just do not seem to want to fix the issue.

I had this problem a couple of years ago mine was a roaming sim but I think its probably the same issue. Was with a 724 Ntrip RTK novatel receiver. EE are now owned by BT eventually one of the brands wont exist but for now they are starting by making some technology changes. one of the things they have done is turn off the data signal from EE and they expect technology to pick up the BT signal. In my case the sim card was looking for a non existent EE signal and getting confused. A change to a different card solved the problem. Try a card from a totally different provider and see what happens.

It took me a while to solve the problem, I think that part of the problem is that dealers dont tend to employ people who are totally up to speed with all the software/technology and its difficult to find the right answer. I think this is particularly true for Fendt. My dealer has recognised this and now has a person dedicated to guidance etc.

I have 2 farms a distance apart. O2 good on one rubbish the other, EE/BT works on both with a couple of dead spots. Contract with BT was cheaper than EE when I did it.
Tractor is on a roaming sim and that moves between the 2, I have seen it on vodaphone sometimes.

Our new Fendt 724 has RTK novatel receiver. But so does two other Fendt's on the farm and these work very well on EE signal, so does 5 John Deere tractors work well on Greenstar and EE.

We tried a roaming Vodaphone Data sim Card in the Fendt 724 and this did not work either.

This leads me back to there being a issue with the Fendt 724 but Fendt just do not want to fix it or even help!

Who do you get your ntrip signal from? In my experience the support we get from Soil Essentials is second to none, I know that they are replacing their EE sims with roaming ones. I also get the impression that RTK Farming seem to get most things up and running quickly. What I really saying is your signal provider may be more help than the tractor dealer.

Sorry if this has been mentioned, ive only skimmed the thread.

I sold a s4 720 and replaced with a gen 6, I kept the receiver and modem as it was rtk and swapped it with the new one, software versions all have to be aligned for it all to work then it plugs right in and works.

the 720 ran an ee sim for the last 4 yrs to pick up my own n trip signal, I have 4 others on the same set up, as soon as the receiver was in the gen 6 tractor I couldn’t get a connection.
It’s nothing to do with sim settings or any of that, it’s the tractor software, they said latest software would fix it at Christmas, no it doesn’t, my 936 had latest software at Christmas also and it’s still fine, it’s a gen 6 thing.
To prove my point I went to the shop and got a 02 pay as you go sim and it fired right up.

tricky job to know what to do, I have a business contract with 4 sims for the job, 02 reception is carp here, or I’m down a tractor on rtk.

another good reason why I’ve just refused to buy another one

does yours stop in the road and need restarting?

Setting up rtk on a gen6 724 today and can’t get it to recognise the sim. It’s an m2m roaming data sim. Never had an issue before. Did anyone manage to solve the issue?

Interesting you should ask, yes I did but no idea what I did and now it won’t work again!

long story short I put new sims in all my tractors last spring, left the 718 that was hassle until last and some how it worked, it was fine for 9 months and then I had a problem with the sims, nothing to do with the tractor but it seems the caster I’m using now makes them consume more data allowance.
Got new sims about a week ago to get back up and going, still ee, the 718 happened to be closest so I did that first, put the new sim in and now it won’t work, I walked away in a rage and haven’t been back to try to resolve it yet.
