Fendt vario terminal, e-control and rapid 800 issues on isobus

Hi all,

anyone have a really simple reason why a Vaderstad Rapid 800 with isobus and e-control will not show up in a 943MT Vario screen?

Drill normally runs on the e-control via the iPad system but want to do VR so figured would switch isobus task control to the vario screen and load ISOXML via the USB port. This in theory should work but for the life of me I cannot work out why I can’t see the drill on the vario screen. It has isobus and TC, don’t think it needs any other activations.??

Various conversations with vaderstad, a vaderstad dealer, Fendt dealer tech guys and AGCO tech guy have got no where. Drill operator says the isobus plug only powers drill which makes me think there’s no canbus connection from the drill to the tractor. Vaderstad dealer guy said should normally show up as an implement and you can run both that and the iPad switching to control task if you want to load a rate file (also a JD dealer so it works like that in Greenstar), Fendt dealer guys said could have wires missing in drill to isobus plus harness and Vaderstad said that’s unlikely.

anyone have any bright ideas?

At present due to start drilling using Omnia connect direct via Wi-Fi which will work but ideally they didn’t want another screen in
Cab and use isoxml.

Don’t think I have missed anything that needs turning on - it just seems to not see the drill….

I need a large gin!!

No experience of vaderstad so can’t really help, do you have variable rate unlocked on the tractor. If not it won’t make any difference even if you do get it to show up on the screen.

sometimes I find I need to stop and start the tractor to get the operating mask to load to tractor screen

Pull the Isobus plug cover off. It’ll soon tell you if the plug only powers it. If there are a pair or two pairs of green and yellow wires. The pin outs of the Isobus plug is easily found on google. What have the engineers you mentioned already tried?

That’s what was mentioned to me - no one else has looked it apart from me. Why would you build a drill with no ability to plug into an ISOBUS terminal… unless it’s an option to have that of course on a Vaderstad…and it then wouldn’t of perhaps been specified. Back there Monday to sort another solution so will look. Thanks Rob.
