Fertiliser price for those that miss it in Arable section

Me da was at armoy mart last night and he said the store prices were well back. Place was bunged more than normal with cattle. Id say theres going to be a pretty big reduction in numbers which hopefully will mean better prices and as equally important hopefully will reduce the meal required so bring the grain back a bit.
I bought 4 in it, well pleased with them

If enough farmers do this it could end up as the best thing that happened.
Dairy may be better? but can anyone really see how it pays to spend 50 quid per cwt on fert to grow grass for suck cows, yes store/fat Bullocks have gone up but they are not 4 times the price and most othe inputs have gone up as well.
This is a worldwide increase in the price of fert I take it ? So everyone will be in the same boat.
Cut production a bit and let the laws of supply and demand take over or work for the fert manufacturers/gas suppliers, which is best ?
Trouble is we are not buying fertilizer produced from surplus natural gas we are now competing with residential and commercial user for a limited supply. Not entirely but it’s a factor.
talking with fertilizer dealer friend over the weekend and he said thier deliveries are constantly getting pushed back a week at a time to the point they won’t have time to get the product on farm for needed time.

Have been offered 4 loads of granular urea if anyone is needing any, artics only will have to check price

I’ll need to check with my bank manager first, but I might be in a position to take 3 bags.🤐😂
Foot trimmer arrived this afternoon and announced that urea was £1400/t. Took the wind out of my sales when I thought I’d bought at the top of the market at £790, only 15 tonnes as well. My ordered Tow and Fert machine was last spotted in Singapore!

most of their cereal is winter crop so its already in its just the spring crop which may but may not be held up
It’s all very well having the crop in the ground but what’s the availability of fert, sprays and diesel like over there? It’s bad enough over here but nothing in comparison, I expect the situation to be far worse over there, they may not have or be able to get sufficient inputs to look after and harvest the crops they have growing

On the positive side, with urea prices where the are, your expensive fertiliser gargler will have a faster pay back.👍

Had a call yesterday to inform me that the Origin fertiliser that I’d ordered is stuck on a ‘quarantined’ ship. Not to expect it in March and possibly not at all.
Basically either the ship or cargo is Russian owned. That’s probably a few thousand tons of sold grassland fertiliser that will not be available in a timely manner.
If it turns up by early May, it’s OK with me, thank goodness. Others may be relying on it to spread immediately.
