Just had a price of £234 on nitram. Nov delivery. Full artic. Should I be buying at that?
Doesn't seem a brilliant deal
@crazy_bull
I've been told it'll come back more and not to buy N by merchant. Glad I bought what I did at £177, how can they put it up by £60/t.

Anyone bought compounds for spring barley? I've bought 1 load of 10.15.21 plus 20s for £285, Nov delivery payment March.

Imported N is currently dearer than that, so unfortunately i expect we will see another rise to meet the imported levels, how much higher it will go after that i don't know. Urea has gone ballistic and whilst i hope we will see a correction on that i suspect it won't be enough to make a huge difference.

The better deals were certainly about earlier on, and whilst some merchants were saying right from the beginning not to buy as it was going to come down, i am not sure what information they were working on as the information i saw and worked on that has turned out correct was saying completely the opposite, or was it more the fact they hadn't access to competitive products at the time,.... there is certainly some in that boat.

The market will at some point reach a peak and then turn back, i don't think it is yet, it might not be in January either, but it will at some point.

Can you make the figures for Fert work in the £230's? can you make it work in the £250's? that is where i think the upside risk is too.

I trust the merchant in question and have a good working relationship with him. He's told me to hold off buying before as it's going to drop and he's been right.

I've 80% of my N for next season bought and in the shed.

It's compounds containing N I'm looking for, he told me these would drop on back of falling N prices.

I think you might be right there. When people on here were mentioning £199 for urea, I couldn't get a price close to that. I can't remember the exact figure, but I'm sure it was closer to 220.

been a lot of it, with a lot less imported products coming over and CF being very aggressive early on, many merchants couldn't compete so said hold fire hoping to either get product or that their product would get competitive later on.

Interesting.
Struggling to get Yara Axan and Extran S in Scotland just now.
Saying they might bring a boat into Dundee in February but not decided yet.
Not going to hang around until February to find out though. Never usually any cheaper then than it is Oct/Nov so bought elsewhere a couple of days ago.

Merchants tell me it's coming down, importers tell me it's going up... hmm!!
doesn't show any signs of coming down just yet, AN is trading at £260 equivalent in mainland Europe, still £20+ than here. Urea keeps posting fresh highs,

it will turn round at somepoint though, but doesn't feel like it just yet.
