Compounds NPK are back £20/t up here in last 3 weeks. Merchant says he's never seen them so keen. Advised to hold off as it could come back more.

Hopefully N will follow.

Well, in our side of the world:
Wheat prices went up from 165€/t to 178€/t
Urea prices went down from 280€/t to 250€/t from beginning of November to middle of December.

Positive moves......just hope it lasts!

I think the lack of planting has probable reduced demand whilst also raising wheat price.

I hear that fertilizer manufacturers from overhere are struggling to sell fertilizers N and P to Ukraine over some political obstructions. So maybe they have oversupply, thus prices are going down.

CF release a countrywide price list, doesn’t matter if you’re next door, or 120 miles away. If people are ramping up the price due to it being an “empty return load” They’re most likely skanking you on £/t.
Cant quite figure that one out, so does the lads further away subsidize the hauliers when they can do twice as many loads locally to the plant comapred to running 100+ miles shall we say?
It has to be cheaper surely if your next door to where its made?
Am not saying much but haulage isnt for FREE ?

Quoted urea at 242, import AN at 222. Tempted on the urea, but maybe this season has a while to run yet. Won't be needed until May.

It’s the time loading/unloading that puts the base cost into haulage. I get charged similar prices for flatbeds for straw from the M4 corridor as I do loads from crew.

You would think so! However remember whilst you’re sat there paying £250/t (if that’s a £5 haul or a £30 haul)...

They’re currently exporting abroad and it’s still less over there than it is here. Must be selling around £140-£160 region once you factor in getting it to the port, on a boat, overseas, off the boat, into store, onto farm...
