Fertiliser Price Tracker

My feeling is they’ve come out with prices a bit sooner than normal, probably because most farmers are tight atm, crops aren’t looking particularly strong and the grassland boys won’t want any until it rains and plenty will still have fertiliser in the shed from last year so they want to see what appetite there is for it. If they can get good momentum Then they’ll stick it up a few quid, if they can’t they’ll drop. As per usual they’re trying to profiteer as much as possible

Not planning on doing any thing till November at the earliest
Planning no rape and not sure how many tonnes we will need depends on how many acres wheat dry planted
1976 a dry year no one planted any wheat till November round here
If it stays this dry till harvest the cash is better in my bank till next year
I was doing quite a lot of drilling for others in 1976 and I got no wheat planted till November just too wet to go but what was planted was all well out of the ground in 14 days

Its normally we are withdrawing prices Friday. They'll be going up after that.

We have a limited tonnage available at that price on a first come first served basis. When it's gone it's gone. Haven't felt blackmailed yet this year.

Ordered one load extran, £202 for putting on grazing this year late application. £6/unit for N pretty good in my eyes.

that's equivalent to 34.5% t £208 so looks a bit dear unless you are spreading 36-40m, CF would be £10/ cheaper or import £20-30 cheaper/t depending on haulage.

I wish the liquid guys would give some figures, been fairly hammered this year, I like the system, particularly the quick response early in the year but it would be nice to see some idea on pricing :(

Bought 3 load after the rush this evening , by the time we’d done with numerous merchants ringing and one even sold out £200 nitram for September at 12.30, 3 load at 4 pm pay jan Feb March 3 payments same money as at 8.30 am , delivery June/ July/ August . Not difficult but hell its like a fire sale between 8am and 12 ? ? ?

Thought they usually benchmarked their liquid prices on the N cost on ‘blue bag’ (kg for kg)?
