Fallow and wild flowers dont need fert, keeping cropped area down and prices up is the future... if everyone can agree.
The second five farmers agreed, the supermarkets would go "ooooh, collaboration" and set the law on us.

No, they couldn't do that. It is completely up to us how much we produce and whether it is too much or too little the only influence they have is price. Only a few buyers have no hesitation in lowering prices with no reason given or needed. The only idiots are those that increase production when prices are high [or low] only to see prices fall again as a result. The second five farmers agreed, the supermarkets would go "ooooh, collaboration" and set the law on us.

Why do you think that prices are generally higher in other countries for most farm output than in the UK? World trading prices are, after all, the same.Haven't we been told enough times that what we do in the UK had no effect on world prices? I'll be drilling more wheat. But doubt my 30ac extra will kill the job.

Ah. So when supermarket buyers etc go to networking events, then out for dinner, to decide how to screw us then?
We may have no effect on world prices but if the uk is in an import position it cost near on £ 30 above ex farm over seas to get wheat delivered to a mill in the ukHaven't we been told enough times that what we do in the UK had no effect on world prices? £6 ton price rise, that’s a fair truck load to get to £225CF. NK Sulphur which is 27-0-6 + 6 so3 was £262/ton last Tuesday but by Friday 7th May 2021 it was back up again to £268/ton. Missed that boat and should have jumped on Tuesday. That lack of oomph has cost me £225 on a truck load, which would have kept me in booze for the rest of this decade, or alternatively would have paid for two of the four Michelin tyres I put on the Honda the other day. Damn!
Just had a look at invoice for mine, it was delivered day before it was orderedHave a look at the order comformation when it comes, they've started to put the words "delivered from" before the delivery date on mine now, is it a new thing to delay delivery when product is difficult to get.
