It’s a sh!t show in the US as well, many retailers unable to offer terms as several plants got damaged in the hurricane. Plus various other logistical reasons.
The conspiracy theorists would love it to be a UK based issue, I’m afraid this is a global fertiliser issue,

Of that I’m not sure, surely a proportion.

similarly surely everyone hedged their fertiliser at lower prices?

I suspect it’s a physical supply issue if them and other plants all accross Europe are shutting down. Else they would keep producing but put product prices up?

Surely most of the price rises We're currently seeing are really due to investors jumping in and out trying to make a quick profit?
Bit like the crypto currency bollix, it's entirely made up FFS, wish I'd thought of doing that!!!!

When I purchased urea a couple of days ago I was more concerned about actually having it on farm when I want to use it. There could still be supply issues if the gas price comes down?

You can't be that confident in it falling if you just bought it all!

I bought most of it last season! Just the last bit yesterday because I am not confident in the actual price of fert coming down. Gas is falling a little bit.

Good opportunity for fert manufacturers to make point how important they are before any green/environmental taxes/restrictions are put on them!

The CO2 implications will drive this issue in the media for Joe Public. They haven’t worked out the implications of no N and see artificial fert as a bad thing anyway
