I cannot remember his name but the chap who wrote the book about russia and the cold war reckons there is no chance of war, its just putin flexing his muscles abit like rocket man in north korea.
if what is sent by friends of mine over ther is to be believed, it is borderline WW1, in that there are trench systems expecting to stand to modern systems of war. However hopefully the winter hasn’t been hard enough, (some parts are only combining maize as the frost has just set hard enough for the land to hold a combine) let alone a heavy tank

If only the same had applied to fertiliser manufacturers! 😆🙄
Mate. I doubt the accounts of many European Nitrate producers will show a profit for the 21/22 financial year. It looks pretty dire from what I can see across the continent.

Any monies earned whilst there was relatively cheap gas from May/June 2021 has long been spent since September last year.

More importantly, there's no fresh info on whether the domestic AN producer here has secured the necessary CO2 contracts to enable them to co-produce their principal material. Seems more likely that they'll curtail production again from the smoke signals from Westminster.

Having said that, gas prices eased a little this week. Instead of being 5 times higher, it's just 4 times the value from June last year.

Every silver lining has a cloud!

another handout for the UK's domestic AN producer!

Hope Kwasi Kwarteng knows what he's doing... last time around, it followed a dividend payout to their parent company. This time it coincides with unsecured loan payments due to their parent company.

I bet their gazillionaire CEO, is laughing all the way to the bank

Seems odd why we are being shown pictures of trenches and the home guard on parade when a single modern jet fighter would destroy them all. Leaders just playing toy soldiers by the looks, what happened to drone warfare etc. The area troops are massing at looks a bleak ole place and not worth falling out over
