Seems to be the reasons heheeIs it a Scottish thing, putting fertiliser down the spout. We’ve never done it here and wouldn’t have the drill to do it.
must admit if i had a lot more spring cropping id still put the fert on the worked land before hand if need be.
Its a Faf doing fert at same time as seed imho.
Then you need two hoppers etc etc etc.
I get the reasons the further north you go why its done tho.
Starter fert for OSR sowing gets all put on the stubbles here its so easy.
But thats it only other fert ive put on stubbles was DAP once but dont use it now.
TSP onto any stubbles is fine i still think otherwise its on after crop comes up in the autumn if conditions allow
