Has it dropped yet?

The inevitable switch has arrived. Fert companies now phoning merchants wondering where orders are. Previously they were phoning to withdraw prices or put it up £50/t.

Gas price today is same as when N was previously £350/t. So why is it still over £600/t?

What price would you buy N at now?
Will be the same old bs,bought gas forward when it was at its peak!!

I'm in a similar situation having placed an order for lots of blue bags which are supposed to arrive this month. I've chased but not had a any response yet. I'm getting increasingly worried and won't rest easy until it's in the shed. It's gone up in price by more than I'll ever earn in a year so very important to me. I''ve planted crops assuming the value when I ordered not what it is now. Have many of you had your ordered fertiliser arrive?
My Lithan priced the same is coming Monday.

Or they could of not really bought forward at the peak at all . We will never know but their co2 is making more money aswell .

Prices will drop eventually, production needs to overtake demand again though for that to happen, globally any plant that is operational is running to max capacity.

fly in the ointment is that Putin is hinting on protecting their domestic supply of food and to do so maybe limiting exporting of fert to drop domestic prices and maximise Ag outputs.

If this is a hoax or scare tactic there's going to be some very angry farmers , heads will roll
It's not a hoax. The gas price has risen worldwide its plain for anyone to see. It's on the news how its affecting other industries.

What pushed it over the edge was CF closing. I bought a load that week for £353 on the 16th September. Since then its risen £300/t. Why?🤷‍♂️

Yeah I completely agree. It's just having the balls to sit tight and wait.

I chickened out last Friday and bought a couple loads of 16.16.16 which was probably at the top of the market. Fudged up again. I wasn't sleeping at nights worrying about it. Now I'm waking up in middle of the night sweating thinking what I paid for it!🤪🤦‍♂️
