Got yours ? you're not looking very happy ,
Bought half of it early doors and the rest at the beginning of September, all Urea.
I need a smug look?;)
Seriously though the last bit was bought about a week before all this sillyness kicked off! More luck than judgement I can assure you, nearly said sod it and wait till the spring!
Good luck to all still needing to buy fert, I say this with all sincerity.

We are covered for spring, all brought and in shed....... Should we be buying now for second cut???
There will be price reductions in April/May so you could wait for some reductions to filter through, but doing this you risk being at the back of a very long que of farmers still waiting for first applications. if you are talking full truck loads then you might be ok but if it's 10 ton to West Wales they you may want to think again. The problem is that when the price of gas is falling through spring and early summer, fertiliser manufacturers won't exactly be falling over themselves to fire these plants up and start selling. you will see these manufacturers mostly coming back into the market in mid summer when the gas is cheapest.

At the end of the day fert manufacturing doesn't make much money on shut down, a rebalanceing will come but not at a level we're accustomed too.

Is there not 2 shortages
Not enough trucks but also trucks not getting as much moved in a week as they did befor COVID

and a shortage of U.K. produced fertiliser as cf have reduced production

being pushed to take delivery but have no space plenty of Fert at the other end

as for price it will only fall when the supply is higher than demand

the biggest problem I here is logistics
On farm we can turn round a collection or a delivery in under half an hour
Why every other industrial of distribution centre cannot do the same

mills taking hours to unload
Distribution centres not able to turn round truck in less than an hour ect
