I see Putin has upped gas production and the price has dropped. Might knock on to fert prices

not yet I don’t think, supply needs to over take demand, it will just mean those who are still producing will have increased margins.

Had a call today about my delivery for next week.asked if there was plenty of stock.was origin at Yarmouth.told loads on dock and need it cleared to get more in which was waiting on boats to get unloaded.hardly seemed like a shortage.was told they are having a job getting farmers to take it and a lot want to wait to spring for delivery but they would then have to pay spring prices

The fert arriving now is already sold, it's not spare stock. That's why you can't buy any for delivery right now.

yara had a boat of 22 4 13 in this week heard of a merchant wanting 470£ for it cheaper than nitrogen

Yes, but I don't think it will have much impact for this season. They need to keep falling, as we're still 5 times higher than a year ago.

Still have a bit of compound and nitrogen to buy,not needed for 5 MTHS though,think I will take my chances and sit it out,looks like the tide has turned,cropping plans can always be tweaked if needed.

Was told today that the fert to be sold this spring has been made with the high gas prices and will not be sensible money until May even if gas drops dramatically.
It could get cheaper from May onwards if gas drops

Yes sold all there forward bought cheap gas then replaced it with expensive gas subsidised by UK gov,you couldn't make it up!

Doubt if anyone in the fert game is stupid enough to come out and say fert will be cheaper going forward.

Some people won't take delivery when it can be bought for £100/t less.

I don't think it will drop until April at the earliest , if you're relying on Putin you're fouked
