Fertiliser Price Tracker

I understand that, my point is that all the merchants over here are spinning the story about fertiliser being hard to get and that it's scarce and there might not be enough lorries in the spring. FFS, Belfast only supplies about a 60 mile radius, Derry supplies the other side of the country. NI isn't that big you could haul it with a Tractor, plenty do.

Ordered tank fill way back 26+S £220/t , 2 load delivered asked when last 6m coming? , rep only ordered the 2 load not full tank!!
Now £515/t for 24+S ffs

I feel for you there, that’s a frustrating position to be in!

Situations like that are where having written confirmation, email correspondence etc has a benefit. I usually do most orders by email for that reason.

Even an email to follow up the phone conversation helps. I’m always trying to encourage those in the business who prefer ordering by phone to do this.

Agree, or even WhatsApp. Dad likes phoning people I prefer to do an email or WhatsApp.

Ordered spring top up 21t in sep, rep forgot to place order. £290 compared with £600 now. Liability accepted but not been able to agree resolution 😠 . As above, text/WhatsApp would solve a lot of these problems.

Our supplier has confirmed company policy has changed so all orders have to be acknowledged by email going forward. Think this is just for fert and seed.

Surely resolution is that the fertiliser is now ordered and supplied at the contracted price?

I thought the same. Someone thought that £1k would cover the loss. Its amazing people that head up some of these very big firms have special calculators that cant add. Looking forward to the reply that comes next. Would have been very interesting if the shoe was on other foot and prices crashed and i backed out of order what their view would be then.
