One load delivered this morning. Apparently the lorry had a heavy tractor unit so I received 27.6tonnes!
46 bags Urea instead of 47.
Bought at £440/t
Easily sorted .....phone company and politely ask for the balance to be sent, had similar in June the balance arrived a bit later on another lorry (4bags)👍.... should have guessed at that point things were about to go wrong

Spose I ought to weld the doors shut when last load arrives

some artics can't carry 28.2 hence why Yara and CF are saying that if you order today we will deliver somewhere between 26.4 and 28.2 ton and no balance orders will be delivered. I hate to say it but you have no chance of seeing that one bag.

What do you guys say when you order!?

I just order by the load. Can't believe some expect hauliers to come back with individual bags!

I order a set tonnage based on what I need for the crops.

Ordering up 90t and being 6-7t short doesn't help if that extra tonnage was needed to make the milling premium and so leaves you short.

I guess it all depends on what deal was done with the merchant - whether it was ordered as a set tonnage (and recorded as such on the order confirmation) or ordered as 1 load and therefore put down as 28.2t on the order confirmation.

I sell grain by the load from memory the contract states 29 t plus or minus 5% .This last few months weve had lorries leave here between 28.2 and a tad over 30( must have been an alloy unit and trailer) so I think its give and take but I would be miffed if an ordered tonnage of product wasnt delivered at the same price eventually

very few other than an owner driver helps sweep up nowadays most sit in the cab on their phone and pip when full
Depends on the farm farmer if I feel there is a risk or there system is such that they can have a quick tidy up when the wagon has gone, like mine, I don't. Last load, or if it's wet and the loader is dragging grain out on the tyres I almost always do.

Thanks to the new COVID variant looks like OSR and wheat are going back down in price... What's bloody next?
OSR dropped 50$ a ton here from Monday to Tuesday. Back up by 30 a ton by today. COVID or not a shortage is driving the markets. Delivered feed wheat tonight at $453 a ton or 265 sterling. Canadian dollar has weakened with oil dropping. OSR is currently 601 sterling.
