Fertiliser Price Tracker

I never have used liquid fertiliser, does it come in drums which you add to the water in the sprayer,or is it bulk liquid which you fill the tank with ? At what price for prills will the liquid become a viable alternative? Sorry for so many questions in one post.

There’s two types,
Liquid fert is usually bulk delivered but can be ‘made’ on farm. It goes straight in the tank and is commonly applied with dribble bars that apply at much higher rates than chemicals. Nitrogen levels applied are similar to granular.

Foliar fert comes in drums or IBC’s which you typically ‘water down’ and apply like you would a pesticide. Nitrogen levels applied are typically much lower via this method, but can be used to top up

hope that helps …

I’m sure the first tonne of fert I ever bought was £83 for imported AN in 2000
My dad asked me a couple of years ago how much was I paying for nitrogen. He laughed and said he could remember when 20-10-10 was 17 pounds a ton and wheat was 27. But you got a subsidy on you fertilizer of I think he sad 7 pounds a ton. Golden days but sh1t loads of hard graft.

Depends which news outlets you follow. GBnews seems to be reporting quite widely the upcoming economic meltdown.
GB news is opinions from a very small section of people living in an echo chamber who are contrarian for the sake of being contrarian. The likes of Lawrence fox, james dellingpole, Julia Hartley brewer are all of that ilk

Thanks to an armada of LNG from the good ole US of A, I see that the local gas indices are falling:

More or less the same level now as the point when the local AN producer switched off in September...

Worth noting, however, that forward gas prices are still at the same level.
