Interesting there's talk of the
Government bailing out industries affected by the gas crisis.

Will agriculture be included in this?

I'm sure our national farmers union will be putting our case forward..

I wish vlad would just pull his finger out and decide what he's doing. This posturing and flexing 💪 of muscles isn't doing anyone any good.

Meanwhile gas coming in from alternative sources.

Had a load of CF today, asked the driver where he’d fetched it from and he said Ince which surprised me.
He was pretty new to the fert job, didn’t know what it was for, a real nice guy though, seemed happy as a pig in Sh!t on the back of the lorry guiding the hoops onto the forks..............with a fag in his gob 🤪
Suppose they had some import delivered there , makes sense to spread the distribution , bit daft having all the fert in the NE of England

Why would they have import N at a production site
From memory when CF shut because of gas being too dear fert was circa £350. I imagine they shut flogged off there cheap gas, made a fortune and then bought stuff in at that time and are now flogging that off for a couple of hundred quid per ton profit without having the hassle of running there own plants. I think it's called a win win situation.

The ADAS work was a few years ago but I’ve not seen anything newer, if you have let’s know
Take a look at the methodology, if I remember correctly the research was conducted in poly tunnels kept at 30 degrees with fans at one end, on high pH soils.
Not entirely representative of UK agriculture in any shape or form.
