Fertiliser Price Tracker

Sort of positive news, taken from theTimes

Next day gas prices in the U.K. have crashed since mid-April. Warmer weather and a glut of LNG deliveries have meant that prices have been falling fast as the gas cannot be exported to Europe (where prices are 4 times higher) quickly enough as the interconnector network, combined with a lack of U.K. storage, cannot handle the volumes involved.

Decommissioning the Rough storage facilities a couple of years ago doesn’t look like a great strategic decision now. At least CF will get their hands on some cheap gas. CF shares must be a ’buy’

Nah, have always been shown graphs of fert price vs gas price and that our (poor) wheat price had nothing to do with DAP being £600 or TSP being whatever it was that year when there was suddenly none to be had. I know it all comes down to supply and demand. But Im sure its much simpler to get a "grasp" on what supply there would be and what sales are running at if there were, say, a handful of fert suppliers vs a large number of individual farmers.

Anyway, lets see what the excitement from India and the Americans Unofficial Solution for Depressing Agricultural prices report says.

I posted this on a different thread a few days ago. Shows what’s actually happening rather than what the media has got around to reporting.

Who’s buying? Are people still concerned about getting their actual requirements? I suppose a lot can happen in the next few months. Urea 735, Nitram 635 summer del
