Old news but: Yara raises industrial prices, cuts agreed tonnes 24 Sep 21, 12:55 - Fertilizers Ammonia DEF/AdBlue Nitrogen Urea London, 24 September (Argus) — Norwegian fertilizer producer Yara will implement a temporary price surcharge for its industrial customers on certain products and suspend all minimum take-or-pay and exclusive supply obligations, effective from 1 October, it said today. Yara will increase its sales prices for ammonia by €200/t, urea by €180/t, and nitric acid by €60/t. AdBlue prices will be increased accordingly by €58/t, equivalent to €63/1,000 litres of AdBlue, up by 30-35pc on prices at the start of September, as reported by buyers. These actions follow its 40pc curtailment in ammonia production owing to higher gas prices, announced by Yara on 17 September. "These temporary price surcharges are necessary to cover costs and protect our production system," Yara president of industrial solutions Jorge Noval said. Yara will also temporarily suspend all minimum take-or-pay and exclusive supply obligations from 1 October. These actions are being taken to maintain "reliable supplies to our customers wherever possible", Noval said, and "Yara will continue to monitor the situation closely and review [these] measures on a monthly basis.
