Fertiliser Spreading

Does anybody have problems with the fins wearing out on Kuhn spreaders? Mine lasted a year and I see now there showing signs of wear, they end up with holes through them. Am I doing something wrong or are kuhns. Crap?

The standard kuhn ones last no time, can get through 2 sets in a season. Certain fert seems to be a lot worse for wearing them.

My Kuhn spreader is 28 and the fins are still fine, I think.

Stainless steel though

On GPS Spreader you have an on and an off time. ie how long it takes in seconds from turning on to product hitting target area. System uses this time 1.8s, looks at forward speed and turns on accordingly. You also tell it how far back product is thrown and in how long, not wide an arc. All very easy if shown right

all of you out there with either the KV or the vicon Geospread
How do you download the data from the spreader.
tried twice now and it puts a XML file onto the memory stick, but it is unreadable on the PC

When I first got the machine I did a bit of a test without actually spreading anything and managed to download a nice report that opened in my web browser

Cheers

I think you have to convert the file format [emoji848] but I’m no tech geek so no idea how

Just spent an hour digging after finding one had got water into the bag, I should have guessed there was a reason why the lorry driver was in such a rush especially as one of them the same one looked frayed around the bottom and side of the loop. But I suppose it could have been worse at least it was only one 600kg and not a 1000kg and we only put in two bag and not four
