fertilizer crisis

I wasn't actually having a go at you specifically, soz if that's how it seemed. Just there's quite a lot of posts on various threads aluding to fert companies "profiteering". Call me old fashioned, is that not what we all want to do?
That's how I feel about it all . If fert companies hadn't sold much and are stocked up at the old production costs , then gas price rockets , so they triple the price of that old stock , they only need to sell a third of those tons to make same cash .

I am doing the same , not sold any 2021 harvest yet or bought any fert for next year and no plan to at the moment , other than holding as long as possible . No winter crops sown and if the grain sheds still full in spring , might just sell off a few loads occasionally and not bother with spring crops either.

Being a one man band with no livestock means I could do this for the year , just to see how the future pricing goes .

If I was a business that used a lot of gas, I would have tried to hedge as much as I cold afford, and then some more, at last years giveaway prices.
Surely they did so?

Genuine question. How much less fertiliser do you use in a regen system? @Clive Is this a way of forcing us down that route?
WB
What do you mean by a regen system. Plenty of mixed, dairy farmers using plenty of animal manure. Then there’s all the digestate from the AD plants locally . Is that regen?
I’m down to needing one 29t load of N and about 15 ton of 26n 35s on a 400 acre farm, as we use the above .

Yes I’d agree.the garage I used was beside A11 so probably higher prices but having said that a local town where I work was 150 on Tuesday.may be its regional.super market fuel is allways cheaper aswell
nick...
Dont you have a fuel card Nick? The South bound at Attleborough takes them not sure about tother side. Cant see they would ever sell fuel at the prices they quote normally 12p over my local
