Few fendt questions

1. I've got a 516 out next week to try, it seems to have a fixed pto and to get 21 spline you have ever to use an adaptor? OK on my stuff as I'm swapping all the 1000 stuff to 6 anyway but not if I'm using someone else's kit.
2. If I go power what's the mechanical suspension like compared to the profi and profi plus?
3. On the power you don't have the spools keys on the armrest only on the 2 joysticks, seems naff but is it a pain missing these?

Not sure on a 516 but on my 927 and previous 822 the pto had 4 shafts supplied. 6,21 20 and the big 6 spline. Remove the retaining nuts and swap them over. Takes slightly longer to swap than Deere but I prefer the Fendt way

On the 500's you should be able to delete the standard live (fixed shaft) PTO spec and spec with a flange type PTO that accepts either 6-spline or 21-spline stub. The downside is that instead of three speed 540/540E/1000 you're limited to two speed 540/1000 with flange PTO. However takes two mins to undo the 6 bolts and swap over the stubs with a windy or cordless gun.

The Power spec is more restricted and future upgrades aren't always as easy or indeed possible as they are with the Profi and P/Plus versions. That might be totally fine, but just something to be aware of.

Have had the Fendt 516 Power for about 6 weeks now. Fixed PTO wasn't really an issue for us as our powerharrow shaft was quite short so we used an adapter anyway. Power sprung cab is comfier than MF and Deere air/hydraulic and better than the other sprung cabs, albeit Claas is said to be superb but haven't tried it. Also didn't compare Power 516 to the Profi or Plus versions so can't 'compare' them. Again, no issues with not having fingertip spools, find the joysticks a joy to use. Any other questions feel free to ask.

Power model we have is on a fixed shaft I don't think it is an option to have a changeable shaft but don't know for sure. Not having the finger tips are no a problem as the joystick is fine and you have 2 on the main joystick, you can also move the spools around to suit you.

My 415 has a changable shaft held on with bolts, but only has 2 speed pto. Thought they woukd have sorted it out on the 500s and had 3 speed and changable shaft but it seems not. Theres lots of jobs i'd like to use 540e.

We got 540e on ours rather than changeable shafts and swapped any 21 spline yokes to 6 spline. Saves swapping any shafts.
I thought I read somewhere that the 500's have 1000e as well now, but could be wrong.
