How did you get on last night, take it the southwest one was at a Tesco somewhere?
Talks with Tesco on Wednesday regarding there lack of support across a wide variety of dairy products (other than their liquid and mature cheddar)
Farm foods. Looked dead....do they actually do anything?? Certainly not the operation we had been used to seeing with morrissons and tesco dc's. Something quite satisfying watching a que of lorries backup as far as the eye can see.
They are all wanting to talk now and some real progress being made.

Tesco imports:

Pilgrims Choice was a shock.
Packaged by Adams dairies, Somerset, it is now cheese from all over the berluddy world, except their Vintage, which they say is west Country.

I must get out more. :(
Thanks for the heads up.

We were led to believe there would be a joint announcement today from the government of all the devolved nations regarding new laws for labelling.? watching carefully. After horsegate Tesco claimed they would never use labelling to trick customers again but the picture above shows it's a blatant lie.

liz truss was on the news, and she was just making noise really, saying it was in the best interest of the sm's to have fresh milk, dunno what her actual job is, certainly not value for money whatever it is

Brilliant well done, it's good to see progress being made.

Pilgrims choice can come from anywhere, however a lot of it comes from Firstmilk's Lakedistrict dairy, Adam's are from Leek Staffs. owned by the Irish dairy board

Pilgrims choice can come from anywhere,

I hadn't realised that. Still associated it with the Somerset base dairy.
From their webshite:

"For almost 30 years Pilgrims Choice has championed cheese with a difference! Our team of award winning cheese experts travel the length and breadth of the UK, Ireland and even the world, searching out only the best cheese for Pilgrims Choice."

Another bit of blurb mentions Oz and Canada. I've no problem with that, as long as it's labelled correctly and I know what I'm buying.

And in this case, I did not.
