General purpose storage building going up. Which is better? Fiber cement roof or profiled tin sheet? Which is cheaper, which will last the longest?

They would almost all be insulated tin done with composite panels.

No condensation on them but significant cost.

Fibre cement stops that in farm buildings are a much lower cost.
Fair point but partly compensated by speed of installation, also fibre doesnt look as good in an industrial setting as tin imvho, we put fibre on the livery menage roof for noise reasons, been on five years all ready discoloured whereas we have some plastic coloured tin that's 15 years old which looks brand new, horses for courses though

Only one shed here with tin and I would love to rip it off and put fibre cement off. Drip drip drip. Tin is very noisy as well.

Fibre cement, tin use to work out cheaper as the ridges and fixings being less money but tin has gone mental price wise, on sheeting both f/c and .7 plastisol was comparable per m2
