Field hospitals

My wrath for the BBC doesn't come close to my contempt for the Scottish Governments refusal to open the brand new MOTHBALLED Sick Kids Hospital as a stop gap Coronavirus hospital.

In short, ScotGov fudgeed up the specification and it's not fit fo purpose. Instead Scottish taxpayers (and you Barnet funders too ?) are paying £1.3 million a month in PFI for an empty 'state of the art' hospital, while ScotGov instead 'transform' an exhibition centre into a glorified 300 bed 'palliative care ward' for people to die in.

If there was any justice the entire Scottish Cabinet ('Commode' would be a better description) would be used as guinea pigs for Covid19 research, as thats all the useless pansies are good for.
I bet you didn't write pansies either

...Five years ago I would have defended the BBC to the hilt. Last year we had the non stop '57 genders' BS and the corporate decision to promote 'veganuary' as our salvation from the Climate Emergency. I object to some urban halfwit behind a BBC desk using European farmers as 'whipping boys' for NORTH AMERICAN feedlots and SOUTH AMERICAN deforestation, I wouldn't cross the street to save it. Let it die, and the sooner the better. fudge'em, fudge'em all.
I don't understand why you're so at ease with them...

I was aware of the exhibition centre but had entirely overlooked the kids' hospital until your post. Just read up on it... how the hell Ms Sturgeon escaping from a lynching over it? :scratchhead:

I can't understand why NHS Scotland is paying for a hospital they can't use because of substandard constitution. Surely that is the responsibility of the PFI contractor, who look to have a questionable history were hospital construction in concerned and in this case under bid to get the contract..

I'm not privy to the details, but it looks as if they built what they were asked to build, and the hospital was then duly signed over to ScotGov triggering the first PFI payment. This happened just after the death of 2 patients in the new Queen Elisabeth hospital in Glasgow after inhaling dust from pigeon droppings due to mistakes in the hospitals ventilation design, which caused the SNP and the '1st Minister' considerable embarrassment in the Shortbread Senate Scottish Parliament.

It was then discovered that the ventilation and drainage in the new Sick Kids was also of poor design, and that the £150 million new hospital would need a further £90 million pounds of work to bring it up to a standard where Nicola Sturgeon wouldn't be made to look like an incompetent ar$ehole at every FMQ's for the next 5 years..

Back to 'field hospitals', and ScotGov deciding that it will be less of a 'sh!t show' if citizens die in an exhibition centre on camp beds, than if they die in a £150 million hospital from inhaling dust from pigeon crap. Don't forget, the hospital is fully fitted out with beds and emergency facilities, ready to go except for the shonky ventilation.

how the hell Ms Sturgeon escaping from a lynching over it? :scratchhead:

It's called "getting away with murder", but the Scottish Justice System is utterly corrupt - just ask "sex pest" Salmond.

A lot of the media have an agenda, and they shouldn't; at the very least they should shelve it for now. Their attempts at leading questions, idiotic comparisons and, most irritatingly for me, the never-ending asking of Ministers 'Do you admit...?' FFS, an 'admission' has connotations of guilt or wrong-doing; they're trying to create news rather than report it. Disgusting individuals
Generaly speaking, journalists in this country are poor IMO. At the daily press conferences the standard of questions seems to get worse each day. Very little attempt at a balanced story, all persuing their own agendas.

Watching the government briefing today I was hoping a sniper would shoot each journo. They are parasites.

What annoys me is that it is generally kuensberg and her ilk with the questions. By that I mean the various outlets political editors/correspondents. This should be being covered by health, science correspondents etc like Pym, not people whose whole raison d'etre is looking for an angle or way to trip someone up.

Some interesting videos on here as well. Amazing that the government had all this stuff stored, bit like the Green Goddess fire engines.
I like HRH Prince Charles I really do but why oh why oh why does ANYONE need to go needlessly to a field hospital in the current climate. Surely sending the wrong message ?
