no reason at all and it doesn't cost a lot really
but getting farmers to agree on anything let alone fund it ..................... no hope !
Ive read all the replies. This is my point of view.
Is the vegan threat as as bad as some are making out? i dont think so. My local butcher shop is busier than ever. In fact one in the southeast has now started selling veggie burgers and vegan burgers! They say why turn customers away if one of the family is non meat eating.
We are all looking at these radical vegan posts as farmers hence we notice them more. It would be interesting to have a poll of non farmers to see if they actually take any notice of the radical vegan posts? I doubt they do.
I strongly disagree with lying juts ''cos they do''.
There are millions of non farmers so if they were to questions the lies from our side then they would far out weigh those in farming that can defend.
I like the earlier post about farmers produce products that vegans and veggie's eat...
As for the answer, well i dont know, we cant sit back and do nothing but lying isnt the answer no matter how small it is. Look at Pritti Patel. She was sacked for lying to the then PM. Now she is Home Secretary .... News and headlines are short lived in this modern world.
My only suggestion is for the NFU to be better at Social media... But that ship/thread has long since sailed
This is good info, but ve
ry few if any will read past paragraph one...
I don't think the radicals' posts are the problem, most people can see that it's mainly crazy ranting.Ive read all the replies. This is my point of view.

From what I get from Channel 4 over here on Facebook, even I can figure out is shite ,eh.I don't think the radicals' posts are the problem, most people can see that it's mainly crazy ranting.
The problem is the constant drip of gentle propaganda. There are some very clever people who understand the psychology of, and how to change, perceptions. And some have got their teeth into meat! (Sorry, couldn't resist that pun!)
Once they start to get influential people converted, there's a snowball effect, and they've been working on this for a long time, now with the likes of BBC, the Guardian, and Channel 4 firmly behind the ideas, it's a mighty momentum they've built up!
I'm surprised you haven't had a lecture yet from someone pointing out that one of those points may not be 100% accurate.

Real sausages don't come in packs - they come from butcher's shops and contain pretty much what it says in the OP.Unlike the tweet in the original post which was obviously a lie, and very easy to verify as one by having a pack of sausages handy.
Not for 99% of people who buy sausages.Real sausages don't come in packs - they come from butcher's shops and contain pretty much what it says in the OP.
Good god !! if anyone whats to understand why farmers will never form any kind of united front they should read this thread
You can't even agree on what a bloody sausage is !
United we stand divided we fall ? ......... RIP the British farm you all have no chance
Although, quibbles over what a sausage is aside, literally no sausages will have the ingredients in the original tweet.
We can do (and often have done) so much better than that ridiculous tweet.

Now youre talking, thats the sort of " fucck you bitch " response thats missing from those who try to be polite and do things quietly , SHINE on !!!That tweet is exactly what is needed to counter similar dumbed down over simplified, agenda fueled attacks on our industry
no one give wants you to educated them with the boring facts - no one cares ? get it ? NO ONE cares
What ate YOU doing to educate our customers and have YOU reached 40,000 of them since Sunday like my "ridiculous" tweet has ?
Haha - I was thinking the same just before I read your post
This whole thread is very funny, great satire
Oh wait - it's not meant to be comedy. It's actually a very serious subject concerning people's businesses & the industry . . .
In that case, this is one of the saddest & most depressing threads on TFF
Pork sausages
Really ?
FFS
Such a negative, whinging, moaning lot. No one owes you a living, no one cares if you go broke, no one else is going to step in & solve all your problems for you.
Step up or step out . . .
Not everywhereIt is utterly depressing
I absolutely despair of UK farmers - sometimes I guess stuff is just too broken to fix ?
Time to start printing TFF "the end is nigh" trailer stickers I think - they would be very popular and sadly probably accurate the whilst current attitudes prevail
