Filling drill with a bucket

Anybody got any bright idea please. The bucket is about 2 ft wider than the drill hopper. We’ve not way of bagging it up before anybody suggests it.

That’s a lot of buckets you’ve got?

Wrap one end with silage wrap to reduce the width. Ratchet strap a board across one end. Strap conventional bales to one side.

Continuing this thread, any simple ideas out there, i have a MF30 drill, hopper split in 2, i fill with a half tonne bag of seed half the bag one side half the other. Yesterday i could not prevent the whole bag emptying. I think the bags this year have bigger emptying capacity, fine if the hole bag is going into one hopper. Don't suggest a bucket! Thanks.

We used to bag seed up by putting bag under the grain shoot of the trailer
got very good at it

now use an hydraulic drive auger

if the bucket is the only option fabricate either plyboard or steel blanking box to fit the end of the bucket

In a Blue Peter style, “here’s one we made earlier”. Grain bucket with 4 slots cut in it, with 4 slides working from a single ram. For fert we blocked off the 2 outside slots with plywood and gaffs tape.

We use a piece of heavy ply wood 1 foot high 2 and a half foot long with a piece of 4” by 4” nailed along one of the long ends. place it on the bottom of the bucket at an angle then use g clamps to hold in place.

I have an 8'6" wide 2 cu yard tote bin with a shoot if you have tines and your near woodhall. I use it with a drainage plough for gravel, It has about 2 ft of flexible pipe on it.
