Did you know (or just a reminder if you did) - there is a Machinery Finance quote form on TFF that gets sent out automatically to a number of finance companies that then get back to you with prices. We are getting lots different quote requests for different things coming through at the moment, so we know farmers are finding it useful.

Its a free to use service (for both farmer and finance supplier) -

Friendly advice or margin making for the forum ? This data is a goldmine, either is fine just think it fair to inform forum members if this data is “help” or “revenue” although you aren’t charging commission you can collect data or charge an finders fee?

No - like all the TFF quote services we provide at our own cost we don’t charge anyone and take no commission from either farmer or the person quoting

It’s purely and simply a completely free service we offer to help save members time and hopefully help them get better deals


We collect no data in this process either, requests are simply passed on to relaxant people to quote automatically via email


Hope that clears things up @Guy @Jerry ? Not everyone is ALWAYS out to make money from farmers ! I understand this might be a difficult concept for some to understand or accept however as it’s a rare thing in this cut throat industry sadly

I’m sure we could make money from it if we really wanted to but frankly just don’t need to or have any inclination to do so

TFF makes nothing from farmers so I certainly haven’t and you believe incorrectly !

TFF does make money from commercial advertisers with stuff to sell farmers though and rightly so imo - we have significant costs and wages to pay and the ads enable them to make more money so everyone’s a winner ! They wouldn’t pay if it didn’t work for them and help their businesses

To be clear the Quote facility is free for farmers AND those quoting them and NO data from it is harvested used / sold etc

We do it simply because we think it might help the users of the forum something that I accept is hard for a man as commercial as you is hard to get your head around clearly

How are the hot tub sales in our free to use classifieds section going btw ? Who should I send our commission bill to ?
