Best detector to hire for finding this underground please. Which hire company also?
With numerous naughty words afterThe tooth tip of your digger bucket. Always works for me!
A pair of dowseing rods is the cheapest option.
Local bore hole company uses a dowser never failed in hundreds of bore holes .They may be cheap but there is not one single jot of scientific evidence that they work (just like, homeopathy, accupuncture and the rest) despite the numbers of people who will no doubt rush to claim that they do.
Various controlled scientific studies over the last hundred years have repeatedly found that water dowsing does not work. For instance, 30 "expert" dowsers were invited to Kassel, Germany in 1990 to have their abilities tested in a study organized by James Randi. Pipes carrying flowing water were buried underground at known locations and the dowsers were tested as to their ability to determine if water was flowing through the pipes. All failed to do better than random guessing.
It works around my farm with wire coat hangers as well.My wife can do it,and the fencing contractor when i told him not to bash strainers and posts in on top of the water main. They may be cheap but there is not one single jot of scientific evidence that they work (just like, homeopathy, accupuncture and the rest) despite the numbers of people who will no doubt rush to claim that they do.

Just ran my rods over your post and they signalled nothing of any consequence to see here. They may be cheap but there is not one single jot of scientific evidence that they work (just like, homeopathy, accupuncture and the rest) despite the numbers of people who will no doubt rush to claim that they do.

If you could run some wire etc inside, attach the genny to it then you can pick it up with the cat scanner. You can run an electric current through it then pick it up on cat scanner.never seen it done though.
Nick...
Have done this with a cracked asbestos main to find the joints, very effective. If you could run some wire etc inside, attach the genny to it then you can pick it up with the cat scanner.
Pure #ollocks . Have found many pipes . We have also had 2 boreholes sunk and the dowser found water both times .They may be cheap but there is not one single jot of scientific evidence that they work (just like, homeopathy, accupuncture and the rest) despite the numbers of people who will no doubt rush to claim that they do.

do you have to be called ralph wilkins to find water ? ?When Ralph Wilkins came looking for our potential bore hole site he looked in the field gate and said it was down there... Sure enough when he put the drilling rig down there it was ?[emoji848]
Perhaps the OP has never tried dowsing. If you have a rough idea where the pipe could be half an hour wandering with a couple of welding rods or whatever isn't going to cost anything. You can do it after dark with a head torch and no one will see you, might find you have the "power".
