Bounce will be down to tyre pressure I would think.
Very often the faster you go the better job you do as you don't correct yourself all the time.
Don't like trimming in bottom gear even with my old bus that runs 540 pto, want to be in 2nd and B on the dynashift for siding and 1st and c on the dyna for topping at least.
For two year growth pull the hood up on the head if possible and angle the trimmer back a bit so it don't chuck it at the tractor, that will let the flails at the bloody stuff, it will chuck gurt bit all over the place but that will help persuaded people to stop every other year cutting and don't go over it more than once for the same reason,
Put your cap round tuther way rev the bugger up and drive on, don't stop for anything that can be cut as it will only be in your way next year, that includes trees marked with bits of plastic for keeping any concerns rased just tell them you are colour blind.
Most important is to let the hedge come to the trimmer, you don't have to be beating the feck out of it all the time till there is nart left.
I hate trimming
Some of the above was written partly in jest I will leave you to work out which bits
