Finishing lambs on stubble turnips

Hi. Haven’t finished store lambs on stubble turnips before. Just wondering how many lambs will 20 acres of good stubble turnips finish ? Will trough them with a small bit of milled barley too. Cheers

I may be wrong here but I’ve found they need abut more protein than just barley when on turnips, ok when plenty of leaf but the bulbs are high energy, low protein if I remember correctly

it depends when you want to finish them and what the soil type is like and what kind of a winter we have but they will want 10-12 weeks on roots as a rule, a lot work on 10 to the acre as a figure to start from
