I want to finish my Jacob lambs this year (for the first time) I usually sell them as stores. I know jacobs are smaller ect but there meat is nice. What age/weight would you recommend sending them? We have finished lambing now so all lambs are February/March born. I can finish them indoors or outdoors. Please give me advice! Thanks

As long as they have food they will grow. What do they get until you sell them store. Give them some higher protein feed if they need a but extra, a blend or pellet.
If you are thinking of eating them it won't matter anyway. Just hang one up when you have time.

What sort of ground have you got? If it’s good ground you could have them fat in June/July on grass and milk but if it’s a bit paddocky unloved sort of ground turn them out and creep them. You don’t really want sheep in a shed in spring or summer
