I like to mix a bit of DAP with the seed to push it out of the ground quickly, I also take 2 out of 3 tines off mine to drill rape, gives me 450mm row spacing. This reduces weed germination and concentrates the DAP down the row, so it works better. However speed is of the essence now, so just get it drilled and top dress with some N and/or P.

Iv done some this time into a grass stubble and barley stubble, make sure you bury the seed well and roll it well. Slugs have had a good go at it so keep eye on them
