You don't really want to be putting slurry on to close to spraying either side
What drill are you using , sounds like you have a Matt of grass ,if so be careful or you will end up with nothing

pity lime was applied earlier in year would've been better ploughed last week and a tonne and a half of lime on the ploughing then tilled and sown this week job would be over by Thursday and no spraying fart around, clean break even without a break crop.
or a period of time could've been left for a stale seed bed , to allow birds to get to the bugs and weed to have a go .

simple straight forward with no narrowness of option and no dearer based on results , in the long run.

this is one I dont get spraying after seed is sown, will the spray not kill the freshly sown seed
Have done this a few times. Bit stressful when weather isn't good and clock is ticking. Did an 18 acre field 5 days after sowing and it worked well as grass was up before old sward started to rot. Sowed kale into good grazing this yr and burnt it off 2 days later put on no lime and had no issues. The rotting sour residue of a sprayed off field in wet weather especially on flat ground is not good.

If time is not an issue, is it better to spray 3 weeks before drilling or does the post drilling spraying work out just as well?
Depends on the time of year - if short of moisture then spraying ahead works well as the moisture levels build up with no grass using it - later on it can lead to a wet, cold seedbed that grass suffers and is a haven for slugs.

Nice to see the grass starting to emerge after being a bit twitchy with it being so dry.

Hi, (sorry for hijaking post) just looking at a field we are trying to re introduce clover back into after spraying out a lot of weed in a re seed. Although we have had a nice mild September so far, and there is a nice bit of moisture about. Would it be ill advised to try DD some in now, best wait until next spring? Thanks

Sprayed leystar back end of last year. Wanted to get to it this spring but it was awful dry with us early then into summer. Should have got to it by now but one of those things time has slipped us by. Herefordshire/wales borders
