IANTO, I also believe in free speech and am more than happy that you can have your say, I know for a fact that I will not agree with all of your opinions going on past experiences. Issues become clouded however when some believe that their opinion is infact the only one that matters. I am certain that there will be many 'lively debates' to come and look forward to them.
I am by the way a Royalist and believe in the union that is the UK, I would hate to see the break up of this union as I do not believe anyone would be better off for it.
I am quite happy to agree to disagree. I was drawn into several threads on BFF which had nothing to do with day to day farming. Many of these had a political element, or at least from my perspective.
Discussing CAP Reform is or should be of interest to all Farmers, and is not contentious. When the debate is widened to whether the Euro will survive or whether the UK should withdraw from the EEC it becomes Political.
My local Pub has an unspoken rule that Religion and Politics are banned, and are never brought up in conversation.
In the interest of harmony, perhaps these two topics should whenever possible be avoided on this forum.
