Fit meter readings

Does anyone monitor FIT meter versus the inverter readings accurately?
For various reasons on one of my arrays we have just doing just this and noticing a 2% difference, to my detriment. Is this common?

Is this a 3 phase installation with CTs? We had this with the first installation of our biogas CHP, the installers had used too small a wire cross section when connecting up the CTs (0.5mm2), once we upgraded to 2.5mm2 the issue was resolved. The other possible issue is the self consumption by the inverter, which may not be subtracted from the inverter generation reading.

thanks , good points. Will get them checked out. We have 3 inverters feeding the FIT meter.
