it would take some breaking - rubber band type thing, water proof etc

Be a little careful. The oh had one and it got put in the draw when we had a few functions lined up and forgotten. I came across it the other day and the band was cracked near the body as if you had tried to put it on backwards. It was two years old I guess.

They way you are talking it would appear you have other thrusts to be measuring though, not sure if it would adjust small enough for you but at least it will help with stamina if it does. Remove when it goes purple.

Edit: oh, forgot to add: an Apple Watch is best for this use as you can call yourself at the appropriate moment to help things along, it has a handy vibrate function.

I amazoned two leather straps for mine for 12 quid, two secs snaps them off and on again. Bit smarter looking for office use and because I found the plastic strap irritating the skin a bit.
Bit to go today yet....

Apparently FitBit are to acquired by Google. Just had an email from them....

Mines been pretty solid, takes some knocks. Replaced the band (£6 of Amazon) which looks and feels identical to the original. All still working fine.

I do still find it useful, not solely for the step count function, but I do like the long term heart rate monitoring/cardio condition which has been interesting to track over the past 2.5 years or so. My resting rate is down quite significantly, around 62 bpm. I do try and maintain a decent amount of walking each day too, some days up around 20,000 but mostly around 10-12,000 steps.

With the app and used in conjunction with their scales etc, weighing yourself dry first thing each morning, helps me at least to keep myself honest about my weight and what I'm sticking in my gob and drinking.

loaned one off a mate and soon worked out it's arm movement clocked up a few kms winding a fishing rod shearing would clock up quite a few kms a day to
not to sure about the km sleepwalking tho
I gave up on mine when I realised it was clocking steps as I was driving the tractor plus it didn’t half play havoc with my wrist no matter how loose or tight it was
