Fitting category 1 pins to a TS 59

Well, after all that panic you’ll be pleased to know that the job is done. Thank you to all those who have contributed to this thread.
My next question is about the front furrow width/cross shaft adjuster collar. Is a piece of 2mm wall tube with a key welded on the inside suitable/strong enough?

Now you have a plough that is more saleable when the time comes. 2mm tube is a bit thin for turning the cross shaft. You will need two pieces of thin walled tube with a slack fit between adjuster and frame on either side to hold it in place as the shaft moves from side to side.

That’s a good idea to put a piece of tube each side of the adjuster to hold it in place to prevent it from moving.
I’m afraid I’m a little lost for ideas for the cross shaft front furrow width collar, that goes on the cross shaft. I agree with you 2mm is too thin as it will just buckle. Have you got any ideas?
I didn’t go to the extent of thinking about the ploughs resale value.?

I have a length of seamless 2.25" OD tube which is a tad under 1.75" ID, so about 6mm wall. As I have a lathe I can turn this out to whatever fit I need for a 1.75" shaft. The length of this needs to be around 2.5" depending on how you construct the arm to accommodate the winding nut on the other end. I fit the key by splitting the tube but make sure that the key is a tight fit in the split before welding or your tube will shrink.
