FJD Autosteer in UK?

I was interested enough in this system to drop a line to their sales chap and ask a few questions and been given an undoubtedly competitive quote. Not as versatile as other systems such as the Fieldbee, but appear to be more of a plug and play install.

In the advertising bumph, there is a mention of these kits being used here in the UK already. Does anyone know of anyone using one please? PM if you prefer.

Hi,
Yes, you can have it for peanuts. It is really cheap. Works good, easy to use.
Not so much options.
If you ask me, it doesn't look so confidential to me. Their approach is so agressive supported with strong marketing which makes me think that they just want to sell it and that's it.
But, this is just my opinion and my feelings.

Have you got/ordered their kit?

Pretty is a personal thing, but why do you believe the quality of the kit you got is superior? No arguments at all, just interested.
Yes, I agree with you that pretty is a personal thing.
I am not a buld quality expert nor software engineer. Only I have been doing is folowing Chineese PF industry development for 2 years. That's it.

I was delighted to go and see @Pedro-glebe 's FJD autosteer installation, and see it in action around the yard, and also the install in his tractor. Easyish DIY and setup (it appears), and the build quality of the external components looked better than I had expected. No wave of a rattle can of paint, on the metal work...proper finishing.

I am seriously impressed with the kit for the money, and the continual development the Company seems to be putting into the software. Not Fieldbee standard software, but very workable. All I want is simple guidance and autosteer...

Might even consider having a tablet running RTK Fieldbee at the same time, purely for the record keeping aspects... It's free!!

Now to sort out a deal :)

Was that Elliot you spoke to? He's not far from me, in South Norfolk.

Thanks for mentioning my name, I am trying to stop FJD from selling directly to individual customers as this could lead to a negative name for the product if they need support and there is nobody available to help as they haven’t bought through a UK dealer.
I’m happy to offer professional advice to anybody who might be interested in buying through ERH Services Ltd.

No worries 👍
Didn't know you were on here otherwise I'd have tagged you.

Hi @ERH Services Ltd , I see this as your biggest struggle. You will find farmers will want to deal direct then will call you to support. Sadly ive seen this far too often. You then have to support to keep up the good image of the system. You get zero money for support and zero thanks!

Yes I agree however I will only be supporting my customers, I have a good reputation with everyone of them and also the Aftersales team at FJD. I don’t see FJD Aftersales speaking to every individual customer who buys directly from them so those people will be left on their own.
I agree, but trust me, you will get the phone calls. If you dont answer they will say FJD are terribe at support! That opinion is based on 10 plus years of gps experience!

I'd prefer a lower product price without included dealer support. If it is a good product, you would not need dealer support, manuals and factory support (web site) should be enough. If at some point I would end up needing dealer support, I'd be ready to pay accordingly. Honestly, most often the dealer support costs anyway and often you even need to help them to solve your case (like SW updates that are shared via dealer service).

Free competition works better than forcing customers to do what you prefer. Might end up with no customers.
