Flail Mower for Quad

I’m looking at a flail mower for behind the quad. The Logic unit seems to be the one to go for but there are also cheaper alternative.

Does anyone have any experience of the cheaper alternative units?

I am in the middle of overhauling a quad trailed topper and also making it so can be offset to make a nice tidy job of paddocks .Just need a honda engine for it now and to finish it of .

We manufacture atv flail mowers so I would naturally push our units over the competition as we genuinely believe them to be the best specification and overall value. Having said that any of the British manufactured products will stand you in good stead over the imported units. Our 1.2m flail has an RRP of £4,600 + VAT for the standard 21hp model and £5,100 + VAT for the fuel injected 23hp PRO model with hammer flails.

Typically, and we get these comments from customers upgrading after owning an imported machine, those units are seriously underpowered, often by spurious engine manufacturers, and have next to no parts backup after 6-12 months. We guarantee parts availability for 10 years from manufacture.

An ATV flail is a relatively 'simple' piece of machinery compared to most farm implements but the old adage of 'you get what you pay for' holds true, the devil is in the detail when it comes to design and manufacture.

Funny you should respond to this thread, I’ve just been looking at one of your flails at our nearest Chapman dealer, Frank Nicols.
