Flail mower with engine problem

I have a Kellfri flail mower topped with a Briggs and Stratton engine that’s suddenly decided not to start. I thought it might be the spark plug and have ordered a new one but on double checking the end it does appear to be sparking okay. The end isn’t wet with any fuel though. I’m pulling the starter cord but it’s just not catching. There is fuel in it, and I did use it the other day. Any ideas on what might be the issue?
I’ve searched everywhere for a manual (as they never seem to supply one these days, it’s always meant to be online somewhere) with no luck, and the only number I’ve found is the engine serial number...
Any ideas welcome!

Look on the bowl under the carb. Is there a fuel cut off solenoid? Not sure if Briggs have them or not.

Without wanting to sound negative your biggest problem is kellfri and Briggs and Stratton.

I'm guessing it has a 13.5 hp engine with an on top tank and therefore gravity feed to the carb? Check that fuel is getting to the carb. Likely a gauze filter in the bottom of the tank or an inline filter between tank and carb.See if there is a drain screw on the carb bowl. Loosen it and see if fuel runs out.If it does, there may be dirt in a jet. If no fuel, either a blockage from tank to carb or the metering valve in the carb may be stuck or blocked.

Hey, I dragged an old Westwood ride on mower out of a shed the other day, B&S engine, been sat for 15 years plus, new battery on, petrol in, bit of choke, turned the key, fired first time. I've never had problems with B&S engines, I've had loads on cricket pitch mowers and the like, the usual culprit on a non-starter is the spark condenser, which is pretty easy to replace.

To the OP, will it fire if you take air filter off and squirt some petrol into the intake? Is this an engine that uses the engine air pressure fluctuations to pump the fuel into the carb? My mothers Etesia mower would not start this spring, I found that the pipe to the pump was cracked and it was sucking air rather than fuel. I replaced the pipe from tank to pump and it ran perfectly.
