Presumably you had quite a few in the last couple of years?

I've noticed less insects all round this year.
Normally my dogs get plagued by biting flies on the tips of their ears, nothing this year.
Hardly any bruchid either.
No wobm, aphids, not at problem levels.

whatever ever the flea beetle season
when we have had summers this wet the following years rape has never been good just too wet now after 10 inches in the summer
on heavy land rape now would only need a wet week in the winter to severly reduce the yield irispective of cultivations
free draining soil may have a chance

Walked mine yesterday. Been in the ground 10 days. 1st true leaves coming and not 1 hole. Crap weather since it was planted means it’s not had pre em or the usual N yet but looks ok.

Any body seeing signs of slugs yet? Must be plenty of them around. I’ve noticed a little bit of damage yesterday so will get some pellets on ASAP.
Only been drilled 10 days and just waiting for a dose of digestate to go on.
