Would say bigger flock more risk of deathsI'd say round here your average size flock would be at least 800 not including hobby farmers.
Lots of hill boys (900-2000) and lowland boys with 500-1000 cross ewes.

Previous tennant of a block I rent says the wool paid his rent, fuel and machinery bill into the mid 70's then down hill from their, by the 90's paid for itself and since then it lots money.I'm not really sure.
