Flu jab?

Back to the thread,I have had the flu jab for a number of years ( as my age qualifies me ) and yes it is well worth the effort.Takes about 1 minute at my local doctors surgery.
Likewise , I've had the flu jab for quite a few years , free, because of my age , but just about all our local pharmacies do a walk in - no appointment needed , so whilst at one time I used to go to the doctor with all the trouble of making an appointment , I now simply call in at one of the local pharmacies as I'm passing . I've never had an adverse reaction , and since I've had the jab , neither have I had flu . Well worth while I.M.O

Just had a text message from our local medical practice informing me that I am eligible for free flu jab . Trouble is that this entails making an appointment and , possibly worse , a trip to the surgery . No, I think I'll just do a "drop-in " at one of the many pharmacies nearby , as I've done for a few years now . They say it will be October when they start .

Had mine today at Boots. When he asked my DOB (1956) He said that l now qualified for the free one. Although l am not actually 65 yet as l am in my 65th year so l still didn't have to pay for it. (Apparently they have just changed the rules this year).👍

Booked in Tesco the other day, will have to wait till late Oct. though, all slots taken.
Wow glad we got ours done then! Actually when we called in Boots last week l half expected them to say "Oh we haven't started yet" ( I've known that before when l have enquired in September) . Instead it was "Can you come back later this afternoon about 4:30?"
Edit: I remember last autumn we booked in Superdrug ( Cheaper than Boots for the same quadrivalent jab) and after we had them she said "Congratulations, you've just had the last two jabs we had in stock and l don't know when we will be getting more supplies!" 😮

Had mine yesterday in the local cattle market, done by my GP practice - drive through service
Don’t need to leave the car and took 2-3 mins from entering to leaving the Mart
Our GP Practice is doing all Saturday clinics through autumn - all free
Checked with Boots and Tesco - no appointments for 10 weeks
Rung GP in the week and they said pop down to the Mart this Saturday
Top service from our NHS provider-nurses were superb and friendly, despite being out in cold for hours on their Saturday

First time for a flu jab at 55

Somebody's spinning one then, watching beeb breakfasts the other day, gp. slot @6.30 doctor said they ordered vaccine in Jan-Feb before lockdown, their practice didn't have enough forward to cover the existing patients never mind the rule changes now that covers 55-64. Boots etc. in the same boat and had closed down their online booking systems, NHS helpline up here working on a priority based system which meant no jag for me till Dec. at the earliest.
Was happy with Tesco booking till reading this.

To be honest with you I was really surprised when they said to come back later that day. 😮
That was in Meadowhall, the shopping mall near Sheffield.
