Flush mount switch to surface mount?

Is there a simple converter shell to turn a flush mounted switch box into a surface mounted one?

I want to change a single gang flush mounted lightswitch into a surface mount, make it easy to then take a feed to another surface mount box next to it with a timeswitch in.

Just mount over top of existing back plate.

Hi Steveo

The bottom is a spacer that will simply fit over the current back box, which you then simply use two longer screws to fix the face plate.

The first takes a little more work, as you basically place a packer behind with a hole to allow you to scrww through, then mount your face plate to it.

Oh, and the top one may be wider than your back plate that is recessed into the wall, so you may not need to do any repair works.

The main problem is the free cable you have in the old switch, as you may need to make some mods?
