We've been using Spot On, so far so good.

@czechmate With reference to garlic, we have a couple of small fields that I've brought back into use after being long left rough by my predecessors; the steepest parts, that I have left 'wooded', are carpeted with ramsons from the start of Spring, the leaves finally going about now. Both the sheep and cattle covet them and the smell pervades the herd / flock for some time after moving on, maybe up to a week, and they are noticeably more free of fly bother than others who haven't had the ramsons. I'm minded to keep these two to put calving cows on - although I wouldn't be too keen the milk myself though.

Does it have a quite distinct smell?
The previous owner was organic and some of the grass has a strong smell with these strange plants in it.

Yep, ramsons are 'wild' garlic, they stink of it!
