fly tipping with name and address!

some kind fella thought we needed a sofa and a few cardboard boxes and a few bin liners of crap etc so delivered them nicely to a field gateway leaving his name and address so we could call round with a donation for said items!

what should we do...

1. I have reported it online twice via Kirklees council website ... nothing has been done and its still there 2 weeks later!

2. I would like the person prosecuted and it can be put in a paper etc I'm not scared of publicity.

3. if all else fails I could easily load it into a trailer and tip it back in the kind fellas drive as I have a sofa and my own rubbish. (there is plenty other places were people have fly tipped, it could be him so maybe I should take it all back to his house?)

anyone had a prosecution and how? I don't think anyone witnessed the incident but surely his address narrows it down, box is an amazon and its a baby stroller he bought?

Is there not an EA fly-ripping hotline?
Do not end up with a conviction of your own for flytipping anything that you cannot prove is his, back in his garden.

just reported it to the police as anti social behaviour suppose it is but there could have been a fly tipping button?

might well end up with the paper I would love the person to be named and shamed (I don't know the person but its a council estate type address) I would love for them to get a request to remove it and pay £££ fine through the paper so everyone knows!

Go on Google Earth and put the post code in ,soon show you where he lives ,,but there again ,,it may have been dumped by one of the many ,,man with a van ads who will happily clear away rubbish for a few £££,,not necessarily the addressee that has dumped it

Maybe somebody knows, but isn't it the landowner's responsibility to clear up and properly dispose of rubbish fly tipped on private land?

I know one of the local goodoleboys got a caravan dumped on his land that miraculously conveyed itself to the nearest lay by for the council to deal with! It was then promptly removed at council tax payers' expense.

It doesn't matter though, the hirer can be prosecuted for failing to use a reputable business under Duty of care I believe.Oh and a post on the council's own facebook page often gets a quick response.
