Had some house hold rubbish tipped on our land on top of a foot path. as it’s on the foot path would the council have any liability to clear it up. Found an address in the pile but no phone number, anyone know any ways of using the address to find the persons phone number. Thanks

Google it.... Surprising what sometimes comes up when you do a search.

Else call the Council and tell them that there is id evidence in the rubbish. Should excite them a bit...

It may be clearance stuff from a rented property. I had similar on the road next to my land, found loads of unopened letters with different names but the same address. Gave it all to the fly tipping bloke at the council, never heard any more. Makes it hard to prosecute anyone, as the tenant is long gone and the owner of the property can claim its nothing to do with him, even though odds are its him thats disposed of the stuff left by the tenant.

If you try 192.com you can find of the name was still there at last census. That’s a start. Then try bt.com and see if they are current in the phone book.

Caught three lots of tipping here - informed fly tipping officer and all being fined on evidence left and catching one in the act ourselves - son out night shooting blocked another in and rang the police who told him to let them go as he was blocking the road and no officers available !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rang local copper and two cars went out and nabbed them 101 waste of frigging around here.

One 'like' is definitely not enough for that - absolutely marvellous. Well done to all concerned (y) (y) (y)

Edit ...here's the link to the videos of the 'safe return' of 400+ tyres...

No idea why there's no sound :scratchhead: It's worth looking at it on Facebook as the commentary is quite amusing.

Leave it to the council to clear. Then ring their antisocial behaviour officer every day, at 9am, to see what they have done. Every. Single. Day.

If its on private land its up to the land owner to clear it. Councils have a choice to investigate the crime or not, but they can make the landowner remove the rubbish and provide waste transfer notes to prove correct disposal.
